Developments CommitteeChair: Rich Thom, Vice Chair: Joe Schiavo
The OCCA Developments Committee holds public meetings twice a month where the Committee monitors development activity, responds to zoning variance requests, histoic commission submissions and proactively encourages development that meets the requirements under the established zoning code and special zoning overlay for Old City.
To qualify for voting rights, members must attend four consecutive meetings. Committee members must attend at least two Zoning Board of Adjustments (ZBA) Hearings per year. See meetings for further
Liquor Committee
Chair: Robert A. Brown
The Liquor Committee meets on the first Monday of each month and, at other times, when necessary. The Committee monitors new liquor license applications and proposed license transfers; meets with prospective licensees and negotiates Conditional Licensing Agreements with them; keeps current on PA Liquor Control Board rule changes, activities, and announce-ments; reports liquor code violations; and participates in the Old City Task Force. The Liquor Committee also coordinates with the OCCA Developments Committee on zoning and food-use matters related to liquor license issues.
Membership Committee
Chair: Ryan Berley
The OCCA Membership Committee serves as a resource, providing information about OCCA and its work to prospective, new, and existing members. The committee plans events that provide a forum for existing members to interact, pursue their interests, and get involved with issues affecting the community. The committee is also responsible for renewals, new member mailings and maintaining membership list.
