NEW BUSINESSES and PROJECTS IN-THE-WORKS |

-By Janet Kalter

At first, we may think that it's because of the cooler weather - at least for the time-being - that there are so many people on the street.  But I was in a number of shops this past week distributing posters for the terrific annual "Windows in Old City" event from OCBC.  There were a lot of people in those shops!

The last time I wrote this article, I promised that I would report back on a couple of things.

Spread the word: Old City is the place to be!

Valerie opened with elan - as you might expect of Valerie - and her new showroom is beautiful - you must see what she's done with the space!

Seconds on Second

I didn't know what the hours were, so I was missing the opportunity to get in to talk with someone.  I will do a more in-depth story on them in the future, but for now I can tell you what you've probably already figured out: they sell seconds for the benefit of the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.  What you might not know are their hours which are: Tuesday through Friday - 11:00 to 6:00  and  Saturday  11:00 to 4:00.

Luca Sena is reporting that this restaurant will open in the fall. Striking progress is being made and I think that the imported (from Tuscany) pizza oven may be installed before too long. But remember, you may think this will be an Italian restaurant , but no, it will be an American restaurant.
